The International Society for Communication Science and Medicine (ISCOME) invites scholars and practitioners from health-related fields and communication science to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the ISCOME 2015 conference in Montecatini Terme (Italy), which holds the theme: “The Golden Bridge: Communication and Patient Safety.”
The deadline for abstract submissions is 15 February 2015 at 5:00 pm (UTC).
Oral and poster submissions are invited on substantial, original, and unpublished research on all aspects of communication and patient safety, including incident prevention, intervention, identification, analysis, reporting, correction, and disclosure. Topics should focus on subjects related to one or more of the following components: communication skills in clinician-patient and inter-staff interactions; in combination: with patient safety, medical errors, adverse events and near misses across diverse contexts. Suggested specific topics are listed below, but we encourage submission of other proposals that demonstrate interdisciplinarity and innovation.
